Multiply Churches

A simple church model will allow a church to multiply every year.  All that is needed to reproduce a house church is people that love Jesus and have given themselves fully to him.  House churches will not multiply if people are not fully committed to Jesus!  So, how do you perpetuate a model of growth that continues to the 3rd, 4th, and even 20th generation?

Everyone shares – Imagine coming together with other believers to share what God has been teaching you!  Now imagine that everyone who will be there wants to share what God has been teaching them!  Contagious Christianity is where we see Jesus living in and through those around us.  We all want to be with Jesus.  When we are with believers who allow Jesus to live through them, we can’t get enough!  “What then, brothers? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation.  Let all things be done for building up.” 1 Corinthians 14:26  In this case, believers were so excited to share, that Paul had to instruct them to take turns and do things ‘decently and in order’. (vs 40)  God’s Spirit is the teacher, and we want to hear what he has been teaching everyone.

Everyone disciples – Every person in the house church is encouraged to be discipled by someone else and to be discipling someone.  God’s Spirit is the teacher, and the one discipling is merely bringing out what God has been teaching through a series of questions.  Accountability questions are designed to, “encourage one another and build one another up” (1 Thessalonians 5:11).

Everyone prays – Prayer is a vital part of every church!  While having one person pray for the entire group is good, allowing everyone to pray as they are led by God, is better. Prayer is the fuel for the church.  Without prayer, the church will surely die!

Everyone Biblically Literate - What is the best way to prevent heresy?  Make sure everyone is biblically literate! Each person should be reading and studying GOD's Word and sharing what he or she is learning with brothers and sisters in Christ.
